People who have great hair are the type of people that I have always been envious of. You know, the ones that you see who have hair that looks as though they have stepped straight out of the hair salon every time they leave their house? This is the type of hair that I thought I would never be able to achieve, but in actual fact, over the years I have discovered some salon hair products that do make my hair look as good as that, well almost any way!
The great thing about salon hair products is that you can treat and style your hair at home so that you don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money every week making sure that your hair looks great. Salon hair products are exactly what hairdressers use, so why not buy them, take them home and learn how to use them properly so that you have money to spend on things other than your hair?
For me, one of the best brands for salon hair products is Kerastase because they really do seem to have a salon hair product for every kind of hair situation or emergency. Because I colour my hair and have done for years, I have to admit that it is not in the best condition. Because of this, Kerastase hair products like Kerastase bain miroir 1 shampoo are great because they are specifically designed to protect coloured hair. The other Kerastase shampoo that is incredible is Kerastase bain age recharge shampoo because it moisturizes my dehydrated scalp leaving it feeling clean and supple.
When it comes to conditioners, there are a few that I have discovered that work wonders for my hair; which is especially important in winter when our hair has to deal with not only the horrible weather but the constant central heating of our indoor living. Redken hair products do a number of different conditioners and, after trying a few, I have realized that a good conditioner is the secret to keeping my hair looking glossy and healthy.
Redken smooth down conditioner is my personal favourite. This is because it detangles my long, unruly hair leaving it shiny and glossy. For something a little bit more intense, then Kerastase masque chroma riche conditioner is a daily treatment conditioner that is perfect for my highlighted hair. This salon hair product makes my hair look radiant and feel silky smooth and is my absolute saviour when my hair is looking particularly lifeless.
Finally, every once in a while I give my hair a real treat and use a salon product like a treatment to really make my hair look beautiful and healthy. For a really good boost of moisture, then Kerastase noctogenist serum nuit is perfect. This salon hair product is the first tailored, overnight treatment for dull, dehydrated hair. It seriously is amazing- just apply it to your hair before you go to bed then style your hair in the morning (don't wash it out) your hair will feel smoother than it has in years.
