MoD contract for Fivemiletown firm

A FIVEMILETOWN-based company have won a multi-million pound contract to supply socks to the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
Cooneen Watts and Stone will supply 2.5 million pairs over the next four years, in a contract worth £5 million.
The local company, established in 2004 supply over three million state-of-the-art garments to the Police, military, utility and civilian work-wear markets.
It is believed these socks will be made in China.
They were awarded the contract after a tender process.
The MoD said Cooneen Watts and Stone offered better value-for-money.
A MoD spokesperson stated: "Following an open tender process, a contract to provide socks was awarded Coneen Watts and Stone, who offered best value-for-money to meet our requirements."
