A FORMER Postmistress in the village of Coagh has celebrated her 100th birthday.

A Centenary celebration was held in the Marina Care Home, Ballyronan on Saturday afternoon for Mrs Annie Charleton, who marked her milestone birthday with family, friends and staff.

One of a family of eight - a sister, Dolly Stewart resides in Canada - Annie and her late husband Malcolm ran a farm locally and Annie was also well known as a long-time Postmistress in Coagh.

Joining her for her celebrations on Saturday were her son Stewart, daughter-in-law Viv and grandchildren Lea and Ross.

All in the village and further afield join in wishing Annie a very happy 100th birthday.
