THE St Patrick's Day celebrations in Dungannon were once again very successful and well attended, with a parade in the town as well as events held at The Hill of the O'Neill.

Praising the day's events, Cllr Dominic Molloy told the Courier he had attended the St Patrick's Day parade in Dungannon in an official capacity, representing Mid-Ulster Council.

Stated the Sinn Fein Councillor: "Despite the poor weather, there was an excellent turnout to take part and watch the parade.

"It was fantastic to see so many different groups represented and the work that went into preparing for the day.

"On behalf of the Council, I would like to pay tribute to the good work of the Dungannon Gaelic Forum in putting on such a well organised event.

"I would also congratulate our Council staff for their work in staging the many events in and around The Hill of The O'Neill, which were so very well attended."
