Wednesday, 10 May 2017

TWO people were injured following a gyrocopter crash at a fun day at Carrickmore Flying School at the weekend.
At 3.30pm on Sunday, the gyrocopter crashed as it prepared to take off from the school, which had been hosting a family fun day.
The two men involved in the crash are believed to be from Scotland and were treated at the scene.
Both are currently recovering in hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service told how crews from both Dungannon and Magherafelt were at the event.
The Fire Service had to use specialist rescue equipment to reach the casualties.
They were assisted by members of the PSNI, the Ambulance service and members of the Irish Coastguard, who had all been attending the event.
