30 Vehicles vandalised in Coalisland thumbnailOne of the 30 cars to suffer windscreen wiper damage at the weekend in the Causeway Terrace area of Coalisland.

A BIZARRE attack on parked cars took place last weekend in Coalisland.

Almost 30 vehicles had their windscreen wipers broken off in the Causeway Terrace area.

Police want to speak to a man in his 20s, wearing a grey jumper with jeans.

SDLP Councillor Malachy Quinn condemned the attack and urged the Police to tackle the growing problem of anti-social behaviour in the area.

"Residents woke up to find their cars have been damaged by faceless thugs and sadly this is not the first time in recent months," said Malachy.

"I have been talking to some residents who have expressed their anger and disgust at the on-going anti-social behaviour in the area and want something done.

"They have expressed the fear of not knowing when the next incident will happen or what property will be damaged next and that is is totally unacce ptable.

"I am calling on the PSNI to take a tougher stance against antisocial behaviour in the area and to have a more visible presence, something needs to be done."

The PSNI have appealed to anyone with information to contact officers on 101 quoting reference 300 of 13/08/17
