DUNGANNON Traders' Association marked 1,000 years of business in the town on Wednesday evening last.

The Association held an Evening of Celebration in Ranfurly House, where presentations were made to 26 traders who have been in business is Dungannon town for 40 years.

Despite the inclement snowy weather, there was a very good representation of traders at the function marking A Millennium of Business in Dungannon.

Following a tour of the visitors' centre, all were welcomed by the Chairman Stephen Mohan. The MC for the evening was Brian McAuley, Chairman of Dungannon Enterprise Centre and the Chairman of Mid-Ulster District Council, Cllr Kim Ashton, praised the town traders for a long and dedicated history in Dung annon.

Patterson's Shoes

The Eyespot
Tyrone Courier
Carmel's
J Gill Print
McCaul's
Tom Morrow.

Special Awards were also made to

Sammy Trotter;
The Mallon family;
The Johnston family;
The Donnelly family
and The Dolphin.

All were entertained to a delicious meal during what was a memorable and historic occasion in the history of Dungannon.

Following the evenng, Dungannon Traders' Association held its Annual General Meeting.
