Wednesday, 28 February 2018

THE annual GCSE League Tables were produced by the Irish News with a local school finishing tops.

Aughnacloy College was ranked 6th out of 133 non-selective schools for pupils gaining 5 GCSE grades at A*-C including GCSE English and GCSE Maths. Within the controlled sector Aughnacloy College is ranked 2nd.

This is a fabulous achievement for the school and within the Southern Region it is the Top Non Grammar school.

Mr Berry Principal of Aughnacloy College told the Courier: "We are delighted to have been placed 6th in the GCSE league tables and 2nd within the controlled sector."

The Principal congratulated the pupils of the 2017 class and added: "The hard work of pupils and staff has certainly paid off.

"This is a real boost to both pupils and staff and indeed the Aughnacloy Community."

Aughnacloy College is continuing to improve their facilities and is looking forward to the completion of their 3G pitch very soon!
