Dungannon hosted the first in a series of public engagement events as Sinn Féin set out their position following the talks collapse.

The public meeting in The Junction on 26th February, was hosted by Vice President Michelle O'Neill, along with Mid-Ulster re presentatives, Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA, Colm Gildernew, Michelle Gildernew MP and councillors Dominic Molloy and Sean McGuigan.

The party's Northern leader reiterated her party's commitment to build bridges with unionism and outlined the circumstances which led to an original agreement with DUP, including issues of language and marriage equality, as well as access to truth and justice in legacy cases.

"At the meeting, Sinn Féin Vice President Michelle O'Neill gave an update on the current political impasse caused by the DUP's decision to collapse the power sharing negotiations rather than accept rights which are afforded to citizens everywhere else on these islands."
