A NEW one-way traffic system could be rolled out in Coalisland in the not-too-distant future.
The proposal is among plans being drawn up for Coalisland as part of a multi-million pound public realm scheme for the town.

A design team has been appointed for the 2.75million redevelopment of Coalisland town centre.

The exciting new public realm scheme for the town could see the introduction of one-way traffic on Main Street and improved access at Lineside.

It is anticipated that work will get underway in late Summer or early Autumn this year and take a little under a year to complete.

Belfast-based WDR & RT Taggart have been appointed to design the new layout of the town centre and have put forward two different potential proposals for the town.

Both proposals include one way traffic for Main Street, while the second of the two proposals also suggests introducing one way traffic in The Square.
