FOR the second year in a row Killymoon Rangers found themselves in the final of the Mid-Ulster Super League pre-season tournament.
The Cookstown side faced tough opposition in the form of Dungannon outfit White City FC, both with high hopes of starting the season with cup success.
Killymoon didn't disappoint the local support, going on to win 3-2 on the day after conceding two early goals in the first half. The comeback made the victory all the sweeter and it certainly made for a very entertaining game of football.
Goals from Christopher McNicholl (2) and Richard Donaghy (1) sealed the win, and also ensured Killymoon's unbeaten record in pre-season remained intact.
Mid Ulster District Council representives thanked both teams, wishing both White City and Killymoon all the best in their respective leagues this coming season.
A Killymoon spokesperson said: "A massive thanks to White City for a great cup final, we wish them all the best this year and a speedy recovery to the player who sustained a painful injury near the end of the game.
"We would also like to thank the supporters for following us during pre-season, it's been a great tournament, and very well organised by the Mid-Ulster District Council and staff at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena"
"Finally, well done to the players and management team who led Killymoon so well throughout the tournament, notably Dessie Allen, Andrew Graham and Ned Coyle. We now look forward to the season starting and getting back into competitive league action."
