Rasharkin... 4. C'kstown Olympic... 4.
COOKSTOWN Olympic travelled to play Rasharkin last Saturday and even after scoring four goals away from home they only managed one point from a draw. Olympic took the lead on 30 minutes when Justy McCaffrey crossed for Declan Doherty to head home at the back post.
The lead was doubled after 35 minutes when Barry Hughes put Junior Maguire through and he beat the Rasharkin 'keeper with a good finish. Olympic could have extended their lead on 55 minutes but could not convert from the spot while Rasharkin pulled one back four minutes later. Worse was to follow as Rasharkin scored on 65 and 70 minutes to take a 3-2 lead but this only lasted until the 75th minute when Maguire beat two men before setting up Doherty for a side foot finish.
Once again, Rasharkin got in front on 82 minutes but Olympic eventually equalised again with two minutes to spare when Mark Graham was on hand to finish.
Team: R Cummings, S O'Hare, J Poland, M Graham, G Donaldson, D McOscar, J McCaffrey, J Harley, J Maguire, D Doherty, B Hughes. Subs R Averell, N Gallagher.

Cookstown Olympic Colts
Last Saturday the Colts were in Cup action when they took on Moyola Olympic in the first round of the Ballymena League's Linda Welshman Cup. Playing against a strengthened Moyola side, the Colts played the better football and can feel unlucky to eventually lose out 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
