COALISLAND boxer Conrad Cummings is now the WBO European Middleweight Champion after a knockout victory over Gogi Knezevic.
After a few near misses in his previous efforts to earn his first professional title, the former Clonoe ABC fighter was dominant in earning the belt.
It took him less than three rounds to see off Knezevic, as Conrad showed off his explosive in-ring skills to end the fight early.
Conrad bossed the fight from start to finish and he showed more composure and patience in this fight and got the result he had been looking for.
He had the 37-year-old Austrian down in the first round with a heavy shot to dominate proceedings from the outset.
Cummings was still on the front foot in the second round, before stopping the Austrian after two minutes 11 seconds of the third round.
The victory moves the 25-year-old Cyclone Promotions fighter onto a 11-1-1 record in his professional career.
Knezevic, who continues his losing streak when stepping outside of his home country, failed to beat the count in the third, slipping to 31-7-1 with 13KOs, leaving tears of joy in the eyes of Cummings' loved ones and elation among the in-ring team.
