Like father, like son as Burrows wins title thumbnailYoung Jack Burrows, son of retired race ace John Burrows, was in superb form at the weekend as he clinched the Leinster Club Championship, the first of his racing career thus far.

WHILE former road racing star John Burrows has stayed out of competitive action since 2012, his son Jack is following in his tyre tracks.

The Carland schoolboy clinched his first ever championship on Sunday when he took a double win and a second place to lift the Leinster Club Championship.

This was a great result for Jack after a disastrous day at Bishopscourt on Saturday, where mechanical gremlins set in, and Jack could only muster fourth overall, his worst result to date.

Thankfully, with some midnight oil burned before setting off to Athboy, the problem was cured and Jack enjoyed the sweet taste of victory.
