McGinn’s Dons in Scottish Cup final

Wednesday, 26 April 2017

DONAGHMORE'S Niall McGinn is getting ready for a Scottish Cup final clash after his Aberdeen side overcame holders Hibernian on Saturday.

The 29-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Dungannon Swifts, was a 69th minute substitute in the semi final win on Saturday.

After a topsy turvy clash, the Dons eventually saw off Neil Lennon's Hibernian on a score of 3-2.

The final at Hampden Park next month will see McGinn face off against his former club, with Celtic having defeated Rangers in Sunday's second semi final.

The match might yet be McGinn's last appearance in the red of Aberdeen, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season and he has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with the side currently sitting in second in the Scottish Premiership.
