The Barry Hamill Golf Academy are literally putting their best foot forward in a new exciting adventure.

The Academy are introducing Mid-Ulster first ever Footgolf challenge on the 9 acres site on the Mulnagore road between Dungannon and Cookstown.

Owner Barry Hamill a golf pro with over 30 years experience has launched the new adventure to tap into the fast growing popularity of this new sporting craze.

"It's got something for everyone young and old great craic and you don't need to be good to enjoy it. "Trust me I know".

Barry originally from Dungannon turned pro in 1985 won the order of merit in 1992 a former professional at Killymoon and the Grange Golf club. He set up his golf Academy back in 2001 which has been hugely successful but now he feels it's time for something extra.

Footgolf is one of the fastest growing new sports all over the country and this is a great opportunity for all to enjoy.

Helping out at the launch this week were Tyrone legend Peter Canavan Dungannon Swifts Manager Rodney Mc Aree and current ladies Tyrone senior player Emma Hegarty completing the line up was sports personality Adrian Logan.

"It's a great venture" said Rodney Mc Aree I really should get the lads over for some shooting practice for next heard premiership joked the Swifts Manager.

I have played it several times myself and it's just great fun added Logie. It's a great leveller a bit like golf and is a welcomed addition to the area I wish Barry every success.

Footgolf at the Barry Hamill Footgolf and golf Academy will officially open on Saturday 24th June at 11 am
