Cotswolds 24 hour race
Acorns member Sam Linton travelled to Cotswold at weekend to take part in a 24 hour challenge.
Sam has been training for this since Christmas and decided to take part in this race to raise money for the charity Helping Hands which is situated in the children hospital in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.
This charity is very important to Sam and his family as they have taken care of his son, Adam on many occasions and the family are very grateful for all their help.
All Sam's hard work paid off as not only did he complete the full 24 hour race, completed 22 laps of a 9K route, covered a distance 123 miles but he won the race with his next rival being 2 full laps behind him.
Acorns AC are very proud of Sam and we're so happy to have such an inspirational person in our team.
