At the same meeting, Jordan McCord was in action in the KTM Cup series. After free practice McCord, on his Cadwell debut was 10th quickest, following qualifying, McCord slipped down to 11th.

In race one, the Cookstown rider improved his lap times to finish 10th, and despite taking another 0.8 of a second of his best times, McCord could only muster 13th in this very competitive class.

Kennedy impresses DUNDROD'S Robert Kennedy took the Team Sandown Kawasaki to a hard earned 6th place finish at round 8 of the Pirelli National Superstock race at Cadwell Park on Sunday last.

For Kennedy, this was an impressive result, considering the fact, that he had never raced at this particular venue.

In free practice, Robert was languishing down in a lowly 21st place, knocking almost three seconds of his first session lap times, Robert moved up to 13th place.

In qualifying, Kennedy managed to find an extrahalf second, which put him in 8th place on the grid of 33 competitors!.

With his team working hard on a race set up, Robert repaid them with a hard fought 6th place, certainly a more positive result, than those of recent! The result was as good as a win for the small team, and with all the positives from the weekend, they can now look ahead to the next round, which will take place at Silverstone, Northants on 8th/10th Se ptember Speaking after the race Robert Kennedy said: "I Didnt know what to expect going into this weekend, as I had never been to Cadwell Park before. But thanks to a hard working team, we made great progress as the weekend went on.

"I was over the moon with my qualifying place.

"In the race itself, I made a great start and tried to go with the leading bunch, but to be honest, I didn't have the track knowledge to stay with them, but, Im over the moon with 6th place, and really buzzing now, Can't wait for next round at Silverstone."
