Nine darter Kyle in form of his life thumbnailKyle McKinstry (second from right) with the dart board after completing his nine dart finish (seven treble 20s, treble 19, double 12).

AFTER hitting an impressive nine darter last weekend, Moygashal man Kyle McKinstry believes he is currently throwing his best darts ever.

With the Finder Darts Masters next weekend, Kyle travelled to Cork to get some practice before he jets off to Holland.

He finished second in both the Irish Player Championships and the West Lodge Grand Prix but undoubtedly the highlight of his weekend, if not his career, came as he hit a nine dart finish against Clonoe's Mickey Mansell.

"It was a very good weekend - I hit a nine dart finish and could have had another two nine dart checkouts this weekend as well, it is something that will live long in my memory," said Kyle.

"I wasn't allowing myself to think about it as it came close. I actually had the chance to do it twice before I did it, on one attempt I hit seven perfect darts and in another I hit eight darts perfectly.

"I really didn't want to overthink it and am delighted to have done it ahead of the Finder Darts Masters next weekend.

I leave on Friday and don't think I have ever been in better form before now so I am really looking forward to it and am going there to win. I have no doubt in my ability to compete at this level."
