Eagles ready for 2018 challenges. thumbnailEagles Athletics Ulster Champions.

THE Eagles Special Olympics Club have truly enjoyed the festive break in all sports and over the holiday period enjoyed a trip to Milford as well as a Santa Sunday at Quinn's Corner.

The boys and girls will be glad to get back to training this coming week when Bocce returns on Tuesday, 9 January and full squad training resumes on Thursday, 11 January at Fianna 4G.

This is a massive year for the Eagles with the main event being the All Ireland Finals in June but prior to that the Foootball and Bocce teams will both be taking part in their respective leagues and hoping to improve on last years success. The Athletics league is on hold for 2018 at present, but more details will follow.

Last season's Athletics League was won by Eagles/Starbreakers and the team received their gold medals at the Christmas Party.

Over the holiday break, the committee has been working hard on various fundraising ventures and there is news of a major event in February, so watch this space.

In the meantime the club wishes all the Eagles family a very bright, happy and successful 2018 and hope to see everyone back raring to go next week.
